This bedroom has lots of energy. The color is powerful; the art is powerful. It underlines the addage of practice makes perfect. It emphasizes play and hard work. It says life is fun, life is great!

I love Flor carpet tile and their room stylists always do a beautiful job, if you are not in regular communique with this establishment and you love great spaces – get on board. I’m a bit confused by the age of the young man in this room. The dinosaur says ten and the guitar says fifteen. But I’m sure you can be either age and be interested in both. But, I do like a definitive answer, solution, bottom line. This room vignette is an excellent example of my theme. Work, play, sleep. Repeat.

Oh cool! Is just the perfect response upon first setting eyes on this room. The perfect hideaway for any young girl. It’s romantic, it’s adventuresome, it’s historical. Climbing a ladder to your room every night? I want this bedroom, well orange is my favorite color. The gorgeous tin ceiling, or is it wallpaper?  The bed drape that can be closed and provide a secret hideaway, just girly perfection for any woman of any age.

I found these bedrooms on home-designing.com – For more great ideas click here. Such a sweetheart of a room, yet such a perfect aesthetic. I’m glad I was poking around and located these gorgeous, out of the norm children’s rooms. Who wouldn’t be proud to say, this is mine! and happy to share? Having a lovely room must be some motivation to keep it tidy and pretty. That pale blue closet space is where all the clothes and toys necessary to make a child happy are located. Definitely proof of parental love.

I got lost between kids and teens so here is a nursery. Again simplicity is so gorgeous and requires so much self-restraint. But the results make it entirely worthwhile.

This bedroom is simply outstanding! Makes a powerful statement and yet is so simple in execution. Carpet, bed, dresser, chair. Period. No fuss, no extras. It’s totally serious and totally fun. Maybe a bit too serious. But designing is all about creating an individual statement and Guzman/Lininger did a terrific job.

This looks like a small room but it has a very large presence doesn’t it? The gorgeous blue wall, the perfectly positioned window make this a dream come true for any youngster or tweeny. The view isn’t too good, but the sleeping quarters and play room for this tyke are perfect. The lamp for reading before you go to sleep is sweet. The art is great as well, the oar way up high is great. Storage under the bed, nifty. Toy storage, oh my! Altogether this room is a perfect child’s room.

This soft black and plush orange living room is breathtaking. The polished floor balances the matte walls. The soft drapes and orange seating add velvety softness. Well, the chandelier is always the perfect splash, surprise ending, applause please. Symmetry is perfection.

Going over the top is the usual in powder rooms. A room this size is great for practice,  experimenting with strong color or bright wallpaper. The room is a small dose and you are not there often so it is okay, it is grrrrreeeeaaaat to do something over the top.

LR Libary Slate Gray by Meredith Heron Design

This slate gray living room boasts strong color and yet it is very livable. The white sofa and ottoman provide a necessary balance. The gray paint has a shine – so it is reflective rather than absorbing light. Good light sources make a huge difference. It takes quite a bit of design savvy to put strong colors together and allow the room to be comfortable, livable and beautiful.
